Privacy Policy

Uponati Inc. ("the Company") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy pursuant to Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, in order to protect the personal data of data subjects and to handle related grievances promptly.

1. Personal data collected and how it is collected

The Company collects the following through the inquiry form on this website. There is no membership registration and no other automated collection.

  • Required: contact name, reply email address, message
  • Optional: company or organization name, phone number, inquiry topic
  • Method: submission of the website inquiry form with the data subject’s consent

2. Purpose of processing

Collected data is used solely to review and respond to the inquiry and to proceed with adoption consultation. It is not used for any other purpose.

3. Retention and use period

Data is retained for one year from collection and then destroyed without delay, unless a separate retention period is required by applicable law.

4. Provision to third parties

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties, except where required by law or lawfully requested by an investigative authority.

5. Outsourcing of processing

The Company outsources the sending, receiving and storage of inquiry email as follows, and stipulates the measures necessary for safe management in the outsourcing agreement.

  • Processor: Google LLC (Google Workspace)
  • Scope: sending, receiving and storage of inquiry email
  • Country of processing: the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers

6. Destruction procedure and method

Personal data whose retention period has elapsed or whose purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are deleted by technical means that prevent recovery, and printed material is shredded or incinerated.

7. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal data. Requests may be made by email or phone using the contact below and will be acted upon without delay. Consent may be declined, in which case receipt of and response to the inquiry may be limited.

8. Automatic collection devices such as cookies

This website does not use analytics tools or advertising identifiers, and does not store cookies that identify visitors.

9. Security measures

The Company takes the following measures to secure personal data.

  • Limiting the number of staff handling personal data and managing access rights
  • HTTPS encryption across all connections
  • Access control and access logging for the inquiry mail account

10. Data Protection Officer

The Company designates the following Data Protection Officer to oversee personal data processing and to handle inquiries, complaints and remedies from data subjects.

12. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy applies from its effective date. Where there are additions, deletions or corrections due to law or content changes, they will be announced on this website at least seven days before they take effect.
